Hey
everyone
... I'm home ... in my own little bed ... alone. New York
was f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c (4th best city in the world!). I'm sorry
I didn't blog much but I don't have a laptop. Michael and
Kenny blogged quite a bit as they both had their laptops with
them. Anyway, our shows went really well. We had small house
for the first 4 shows but the people we did have were all
very appreciative and all seemed to love the show. Last night
was our final show and it was almost sold out and the crowd
loved the show and (if I do say so myself) we were at the
top of our game. What can I say? Everyone in the show loves
and feeds off audience reaction and we chewed a little scenery
last night. As you probably know, we got 2 great reviews and
a couple of producers saw the show so...we're all keeping
good thoughts.
We saw Spring Awakening
and it was amazing and we saw Xanadu and it was great.
You just sit and smile through the entire show. It is funny
and campy and the 3rd hottest man on Earth is in it. $40 for
on stage seats!!! How fucking fun was that? And it was Kenny's
birthday so we all got to watch him have the time of his life
on his birthday ... life is good.
Went to some great bars
(met a really nice man), went to some great restaurants, a
nice day in central park (for roller disco), had a great time
with Orlando friends who came up, saw a few old friends, went
to MOMA, got a well needed break from my horrid day job, and
got to perform in NYC. What more could I ask for?
The apartment situation
went better than I thought it would. Not good, just better
than I thought it would. Big personalities and big gaps in
age make for guaranteed drama and we had some but not a lot.
We all came through it unscathed. Bruised maybe. Anyway, when
we take the show up there again, I will be living with my
new boyfriend and our beagle puppy.
Wanted
to also send out a big thank you to David Dorman, Scott Penyak
and Rich Charron. These guys have done so much (not just during
this run) to help make Ladies a success. Thanks guys.
See ya.
BTW if you see me out
buy me a beer ... that New York will wipe out a bank account!.
