New York, New York ... sounds nice, doesn't it? And it is! Everywhere you go, look around and what do you see? MEN! Scrumptuous dog-walking, art-loving, 3-day-beard wearin' MEN! There was actually a male couple at the MOMA that I thought was a piece of artwork, speaking some wonderful foreign tongue (don't you just LOVE foreign tongue?!) That's what is so great about the City ... you can get ANYTHING you want there. Kenny and Barry live in the heart of the new 'Hellsea' district with plenty of bars, restaurants, and even a delicious produce market just a half-block away. You can even 'sniff a few melons' at the 9th Avenue Pub if you hang out late enough! The show was very well received, and I had lots of old friends ... important people' ... give us all a great big THUMBS UP! I'm not sure if I should unpack just yet. Mr. Producer might just be making that call real soon ... THANK YOU for all your generous support. We never could have done it without the love and help of our Orlando friends. We even had lots of them come up for the show ... BRAVO!!! So keep your eyes and ears open, and next time you see Wanzie out, buy him a stiff one ... he deserves it!

Greetings all you thrill-seekers out there! Having an absolutely fun-filled week running from showrooms to backrooms - shopping, stocking, and schtupping! Went to a St. Tropez gambling soiree at the Maxx Handbag headquarters last night with my old pal (Tony-winner) Cady Huffman and her husband … and the luck was flowing like cheap whiskey at a Shriner's convention. … 'Got FUNKY' at a teensy little club in Harlem where everyone joined in for a splendid songjamjazzfest … Had a cathartic experience at my new favorite musical, 'Spring Awakening', and can't wait to be seated onstage for Friday's performance of 'Xanadu' … should I wear my new pink or my naughty black? Tonight's audience for 'Ladies' is going to be chock-full of New York bigwigs and casting people … I'd better go and get my lips warmed up (for all the singing, sillies!)

Thank goodness for Scotch and soda… takes the edge off when your plane is delayed… or when you just HAVE TO take another breath… The bag of wigs made it through security okay I just told the small Jamaican guard that it was a pack of poodles that do a stunning 'obstacle-course' act complete with poodle skirts and miniature motorcycles… Having a blast with 'the boys' cruising the airport and keeping our waiter very busy… Where in the hell are all of these people GOING? I know where we're headed… to New York City to put on a fabulous show that is CERTAIN to be next year's off-off B'way smash hit! How can we miss? My lucky number is 11… it's the 11th Annual Fringe Festival, our first show is on the 11th, and we're sitting next to our departure gate…#111! The gods are being very kind to us… Gotta go… the waiter needs help delivering our latest order… and I don't want him to spill a drop!
