Reprinted from the June 29th WANZeGRAM: Ladies Nite Out
was a whopping success! In just The total amount raised at the event was $3,507.00! Everyone involved with LADIES
OF EOLA HEIGHTS extend their gratitude to everyone who performed on
Thursday night in the Eola Heights Follies. Thanks also go out
to everyone who donated a prize or auction item, provided technical assistance,
and to the dedicated volunteers who sacrificed seeing most of the entertainment
in order to efficiently look after the box office, raffle and silent auction.
Thanks to everyone who baked, or made custom items for the auction - or
in the case of Marcy Singhaus and Margo Dixon - did both! Of course, thanks
to Don & Susan and the Parliament House for their continued support
and sponsorship as well as for the use of the theater, and to David Dorman
for his continued sponsorship of Wanzie Presents shows, and for creating
and donating the printing of the programs (as well as singing in the The LADIES also wish to thank
all those who attended, and to welcome the new faces in the crowd, who
are today, receiving their very first WANZeGRAM ... albeit late (we usually
send it out on Friday ... but due to heavy drinking on Thursday evening,
the producers of the GRAM We at the offices of WANZIE.com/The WANZeGRAM are of the opinion that, other than an ill-prepared opening number (which brought into sharp focus the fact that Ruby, Opal, and Pearl should really leave the musical numbers to Miss Sammy - and that Miss Sammy should leave the dialogue to Ruby, Opal, and Pearl) the show and the entire evening was a thoroughly entertaining event, and a good time was had by all!
